Poem: Dad Was the Oak Tree

Untitled

by David Bone

My dad was the oak tree
I was always a seedling
My mother was the flower
which he always nourished
My dad dropped acorns
We all ate from them
My dad was cut down by a chain saw
called Alzheimers disease.
